Gold Sandals

These #gold #sandals belonged to the funerary accoutrements of an #Egyptian queen of #Thutmose III in the middle of Dynasty 18. Similar gold sandals were found on the mummy of #Tutankhamun, one of Thutmose's descendents who ruled at the end of the same dynasty. #stars of #Africa

King #Tutankhamun of #Egypt was not buried in one but THREE GOLDEN COFFINS. First coffin made of wood covered with gold foil. Second coffin also made with wood covered with gold foil. And the third and last coffin made from solid pure gold. Royalty at its best.
